From a part of western Canada, a young puppy was recently rescued in a terrifying and potentially dangerous predicament: with a jar of glass solidly over her head. The adorable pup, now referred to as “Jar,” was found on the road side, immobile and sightless due to the jar.

It’s not known how the glass jar became lodged on the puppy’s head, but the finding quickly had the group worried for her well-being. Fortunately, a good Samaritan spotted the distraught animal and quickly contacted a local animal rescue group that was renowned for assisting at-risk animals.

Gentle Hands and Careful Removal

When animal humane society rescuers arrived, they went cautiously and gently to the scared and bewildered puppy. The rescuers understood it was an emergency, as not only did the jar obstruct the puppy’s eyesight but could have led to suffocation, dehydration, and injury if she knocked into objects.

Carefully prying the jar off with patience took patience. It’s said that by remaining calm and slowly maneuvering, the rescuers were able to push the glass jar off the puppy’s head, releasing the relieved little dog from her bizarre and perilous predicament.

Healthy Check-Up and a Bright Future

Once she was rescued, “Jar” was taken in to the animal humane society for a complete check-up by a veterinarian. Miraculously, given what she experienced, the puppy, estimated at four months of age, appears to be in excellent health. “Jar” has adapted perfectly to home life in a foster home, says the humane society.

A Calm and Cuddly Friend

Despite a tough start, “Jar” is a laid-back yet playful girl who just adores cuddling. She’s already acing the training and learning to stay in her crate as well as potty training. “Jar” also walks great on a leash and is good with other dogs, which demonstrates she has a sweet and flexible disposition.

Ready to Find Her Forever Family

Presently safe and secure with the animal humane society, “Jar” is waiting for her loving permanent home. The tough-started but tough pup has already proved she can withstand a rough start and is hoping to shower lots of love and playful friendship with her new family.
