Canadian Pet Expo Spring 2025: Top Highlights Recap
---Advertisement---

Hi folks across Mississauga and more! You recognize the Spring Canadian Pet Expo (CPE) every year at The International Centre, right? Well, it was another humongous success, attracting thousands of delighted pet owners and their furry, scaly, and feathered companions. This fantastic three-day extravaganza truly showcased the best of Canada’s pet business, from a huge marketplace to hip competitions and things you might learn. Here’s a bit of rundown on the highlights that made the Spring 2025 CPE fun for the whole family – including pets!

A Shopper’s Paradise in the Spring Marketplace

Seriously, more than 250 vendors filled the venue, so it was a complete shopper’s paradise for us pet owners. You could get and purchase just about everything: those expensive pet snacks, high-end food brands, quirky handmade accessories, fashionable pet clothes, trendy toys, and all your grooming needs. The atmosphere was definitely “shop till you drop,” and many were taking advantage of those show-only bargains and browsing new Canadian pet companies.

Feline Fest and the Cool Cat Show:

Cat enthusiasts were in for a real treat at the sole Feline Fest, and the CPE Cat Club TICA Cat Show was a large portion of that. This high-society affair had gorgeous cats being judged by the standards of The International Cat Association (TICA). In addition to the contest, Feline Fest included specialty vendors specifically for cat-related things, so it was a purr-fect experience for everything feline.

Canada’s Largest Purebred Dog Village:

The CPE continued its tradition of hosting Canada’s biggest purebred Dog Breeders Village, featuring more than 50 various dog breeds. This was an excellent opportunity for individuals to meet reputable breeders listed with the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC), learn everything about various breeds and their needs, and perhaps even find their future furry companion. They even had Canine Good Neighbour testing and a Parade of Breeds.

Fantastic Entertainment and Things to See:

Aside from all the shopping, the CPE had a full itinerary of cool things to see:

  • Xtreme Dogs Stunt Show: These dogs were terrific! They performed all kinds of aerial stunts and terrific tricks, really demonstrating how strong the relationship is between people and their dogs.
  • Wings Over the Rainforest Parrot Show: The intelligence and beauty of these birds from all over the world were fascinating, and they even had educational lectures on how to take care of them and why conservation is needed.
  • Creative Grooming Demonstrations: These skilled groomers displayed their artistic flair, converting dogs’ hair into vibrant and creative designs – it was amazing to watch!
  • Parrot Show: Additional cool bird demos and opportunities to learn about them.
  • Grooming Demos: They shared some super-useful tips and tricks for having our pets looking their absolute best.

Fun Stuff for the Pets Too:

The CPE truly is pet-friendly, and they had plenty of interactive areas for our furry attendees:

  • Canine Fun Zone: This was a huge success! Dogs were able to run around on a lure course and even jump into a brand-new ball pit – wonderful for burning off some energy.
  • Dog Rest Stations: They even considered the dogs being tired and had special rest stations set up for them.

All About Being a Responsible Pet Owner:

Throughout the entire event, there was a huge emphasis on being a good pet owner. The vendors and information booths were offering tons of great information on pet health, diet, training, and why adopting from good shelters and rescues is so vital.

The Spring Canadian Pet Expo 2025 was yet another first-class show for pet enthusiasts in Canada. With so many various vendors, great entertainment, and an emphasis on doing our best to care for our pets, it was a great weekend for families and their furry friends to meet up, learn, and share all the happiness pets bring to us.
